A Google Analytics 4 CRM integration, planned to join visits and leads

Coming soon: a Google Analytics 4 CRM integration that will let a lead carry what the visitor did on your site before they enquired. It isn't built yet, and the details may change. Today, every website form lead already keeps its UTM tags, click IDs, landing page and referrer.

  • Coming soon, not built yet
  • Planned: the visit behind each website lead
  • UTM tags and click IDs work today

A visitor lands on a kitchen offer page, looks at the kitchen gallery and the pricing page, and sends an enquiry; in the planned version the lead for Neha Patil shows those pages as the visit before the enquiry, and the new lead is marked in Google Analytics 4.

THE PROBLEM

Why website visits and leads drift apart

See how it's fixed
  1. Two tools that never compare notes

Google Analytics knows how people move around your website, and your CRM knows who became a lead. With nothing joining the two, marketing and sales each hold half of the story and argue about the other half.

  2. A rep who doesn't know what the buyer read

Someone who studied three product pages and the pricing page is a very different call from someone who landed on the contact form by accident. Without the visit, every enquiry looks the same on the lead.

  3. Leads nobody marks in Google Analytics

Marketing wants to see which pages and campaigns lead to real enquiries, but the moment a form becomes a lead happens inside the CRM, where Google Analytics can't see it.

PLANNED

Connect your Google Analytics 4 property once

The direction we're planning is a connection to the Google Analytics 4 property that already measures your website, set up once by whoever looks after your analytics. Nothing about how you tag your site or run Google Analytics would change. It isn't built yet, so the exact steps may change.

  • Planned: one GA4 property per workspace
  • Planned: set up once, by your admin
  • Your existing site tagging left as it is
  • Coming soon, and not built yet

PLANNED

The visit behind the enquiry, on the lead

The aim is for a website lead to show what the visitor did before they filled in your form, such as the pages they looked at, so a rep can open a call about the product the buyer actually read about. How much of the visit is shown will depend on what Google Analytics makes available.

  • Planned: pages viewed before the enquiry
  • Planned: shown beside the lead's capture details
  • Depends on what Google Analytics makes available
  • Details may change before it's built

PLANNED

New leads, planned to be marked in Google Analytics

The other half of the plan runs the opposite way: telling Google Analytics when a website visit became a lead in DigiPix Flow. Your marketing team could then look, inside Google Analytics, at which pages and campaigns lead to enquiries your sales team actually works.

  • Planned: a new lead marked as a moment in GA4
  • Planned: seen in Google Analytics, not rebuilt here
  • Your GA4 settings stay in your hands
  • Coming soon, not built yet

WORKS TODAY

Where each lead came from, already on the lead

You don't need to wait to know where website leads start. The DigiPix Flow form snippet already keeps the five UTM tags, Google's and Meta's click IDs, the landing page and the referrer on every website lead, shown in the lead's capture details for the rep to read before calling.

  • All five UTM tags on website leads
  • Google's gclid and Meta's fbclid kept
  • The landing page and the referrer
  • Shown in the lead's capture details

Google Analytics questions, answered

Can I connect Google Analytics today?

Not yet. The Google Analytics 4 connection is coming soon and isn't built yet. Today, every website form lead keeps its UTM tags, Google's and Meta's click IDs, the landing page and the referrer.

What is a Google Analytics 4 CRM integration?

It joins what Google Analytics knows about visits to your website with what your CRM knows about the people who became leads. DigiPix Flow's is planned and not built yet. Today, every website form lead already keeps its UTM tags, click IDs, landing page and referrer.

What is the Google Analytics connection planned to do?

The direction is two-way: show on a website lead what the visitor did before enquiring, and mark new leads in your Google Analytics 4 property so marketing can see which pages and campaigns lead to enquiries. The details may change before it's built.

Do I need Google Analytics to see where leads came from?

No. The DigiPix Flow form snippet reads UTM tags and click IDs from the page address and records the landing page and referrer by itself, with no Google Analytics account involved.

Will it work with Universal Analytics?

No. Google has retired Universal Analytics, so the planned connection is for Google Analytics 4 properties only.

When will it be ready?

We haven't set a date. If joining your website visits to your leads matters to your team, tell us through Talk to an expert, and we'll let you know when it's ready.
